Hi teacher 8,

i got got the approval of my I-130 and my PD is current. I am working in U.S. under a L-1 visa right now and would like to submit a I-485 to adjust my status to PR.


Do I need to fill out I-864?
-Yes, the sponsor needs to file I-864 and provide the support documents such as copy of tax return and W-2 of 2014.

 Can I be my own sponsor/ support myself using my income in U.S. ?
-Depends on who filed the I-130 for you. If the I-1`30 was filed by your spouse, then you may use your own income for the support. Thus, your spouse needs to file I-864 and you file I-864A in this case.


 What are the forms I need to fulfill if so?
