由于种种原因，打算quit phd, 现在i20马上到期，我想转成f2或者h4。我lg现在是opt，正打算申请h1b，跟他一起申请h4已经来不及了，因为学校处理的比较慢，如果申请f2的话自己提交应该还来得及在i20到期之前收到receipt。
我的问题是，如果我马上申请f2，在f2身份没批准之前，我lg申请h1b的话 （这个时候我的f1已经过期了），我可以跟他一起申请h4吗？我这种情况，还有别的建议吗？非常感谢。
-Because you have an F-1 grace period of 60 days after the I-20 expires, you can directly change your F-1 to H-4 during the grace period. Thus, you may not need to change F-1 to F-2. Talk to your school international student office that you don't want to extend your I-20 and will change your status to H-4 during the grace period.
