心里郁闷至极，不得已向这里求助，希望大家能给一些建议：我现在刚刚拿到中西部一个college的教职，学校刚刚帮我办了H-1b, 据一个曾和我情况差不多的同事说拿到绿卡大概需要四年。

这么说来，等到我能为母亲办身份的时候，至少要等4+5=9年。

可现在母亲一个人孤零零在国内，我实在于心不忍，尤其前年父亲去世之后，60岁的她的精神和体力大不如前，每次视频我都会心痛。

-No other choices. But she can illegally stay in US and then, you can sponsor her green card after you get the US citizenship.
