I have my EB-3 I-140 approved in 2006 (priority date End of 2005) and submitted I-485 in July 2007. Then my new employer filed EB-2 on my behalf in 2011.

My EB-2 I-140 was approved in March 2012. Now both EB-2 and EB-3 priority dates are current as of October 2012. I received a RFE in July and responded in August, right now the status is RFE review. I want to go back to China to visit my parents and grandpa (he's 95 years old and is the only grandparent still alive and well) as soon as I can, it has been almost two years since my last visit, but this green card thing held up my trip plan. I know I should wait until I receive the green card, but how long would it take for the immigration service to complete my case? The processing time at NSC is currently 4 months, does it mean I have no chance of visiting my family this year?
