Do not go back to China. My -I-485 was denied

on 2008 based on denial of I-140, all I-485 for my family were also denied. During that time, my hu*****and was in China. I did not tell him about denial. I hired another lawyer and he interviewed me on the day of when my hu*****and came back.
The officer of the boarder tried to deport him back to China, he also called me couple times and told me to go to airport to pick up my daughter(who is American citizen). My lawyer told me not to show up in airport, he said they would let my hu*****and to come in enentrally. If not, he would go to airport to handle everything. Like what he said, after keeping my hu*****and for 3 - 4 hrs, they allowed my hu*****and to come in with status of unexpired H4. They kept all 3 pages of my hu*****and's AP. On I-94 form, they stamped H4, expired on 7/30/2008. My lawyer filed MTR of I-140, after about one and half months, MTR was granted and all our I-485s were reopened.
tell your friend do not give up, hire a good lawyer asap to file MTR.
