I don't see any negative sign here based on what you said. The VO just wanted to see you guys go together for visa. Show them the lable for paper whatever the VO marked on it, so the same VO will process your visa applications. Make sure you bring all your letters, photos, and wahtever evidence that you are still a couple after you are in US.
