i think your risk is virutally zero as long as you make sure that you come back to US every 6 months or shorter time period. technically it is one year, but practically 6 months.

1. you have your pay check here in US. that is good enough.

2. you have your family here. that means you have not given up your intention to live in US.

3. remember: you are not working in China, you are making business trips to china!!!
