mom's emerency costs.help

My mom came to US to visit me with B2 visit.Last month, she was real sick and I took her to the hospital emerency. It cost $3000. I can not afford it.
The hospital suggests us to apply medicaid for her. I was wondering if it will affect her GC application later on. thank you for any reply
