NC cleared for spouse: 1/2006
Called USCIS many times during June, July, August and in July was told visa number was not assigned and I have to wait for Oct.
Card ordered: 8/22/07
Card RD: 8/28/07
Still waiting for welcome and approval notice for me.
Spouse's case is still pending.

Waiting is the most rigorous part. All I can suggest is trying not to think about it too much. Let something else, work, kid, house, travelling occupy your mind. I understand how hard it is since I went through it. But in most cases, what else is under our control other than waiting? Once you pay less attention to it, it'll come. Important thing: 1. don't let it change your life schedule since it'll come eveually. 2. For LC-based applicant, it is critical if your employer is supportive and cooperative.
