Your wife can file I-130 + I-485 for you. At the same time file EAD and AP. Normally after 3 months you will receive EAD + AP. Then you can work for anyone.
It'll take one or one and half year to receive GC.
But before filing any forms, make sure your wife has enough income to support your family, otherwise your application may be denied.
You can stay within U.S. to apply and wait. Don't leave U.S. before get AP.
If you file I-485, you will not be eligible for TN, but if you just file I-130 only, you can get TN. H-1B is an alternative even if you filed I-485. Once you receive EAD, you don't need TN/H-1B to work.
Best to consulate a lawyer before proceeding.
