J-1 WAIVER REASON STATEMENT]

Currently I am a postdoctoral researcher in xxxx University.
I got my B.S. from AAA University, [city], [country], in 19xx,
and obtained my M.Sc. and Ph.D. from BBB University, [city],
[country], in 19xx and 19xx, respectively.

Since 200x, I have been working on ----------------------
with J1 visa. The projects are supported by Prof. xxxx xxxx.
My current researches are dealing with --------------------.
These projects are significant to American societies. For
myself, I am very interested in them and have also learnt
some new knowledge. I have made good progress, and have been
writing several papers. My advisor thinks that I should
continue to work on these projects for a longer time, because
there would certainly be set back without me. A J1 visa would
limit my contribution to these important projects. My advisor
would like to help change a visa from J1 to H1B. Therefore, I
would like to apply for a recommendation for a waiver of the
two years home residence requirement.

The Data Sheet Application, list of J2 dependents, a copy of my
IAP 66 form and a money order for $--- dollars were sent you in
------------. A "no objection" statement will be sent you via
Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.
