When I got my O-1 approval, I didn't have my J1 waiver yet. So we couldn't change our status inside the States. We had to get a new visa to have our status changed. Therefore the only I797 was enough for our whole family for visa application.

H4 can be changed inside the States. So they will have their own I797.
