visa revalidation ?

I am H-1B holder. my human resource tell me that" I also have the option to apply for his H-1B visa in the U.S., called visa revalidation and this process is taking between 4-6 months". Then I do not need aply VISA for reentry US. is it true? I check the UShttp://www. travel.state.gov website and found that revalidation is just for within sixty days of expiration.
