Multiple Entry Visiting Visa

My parents are coming on a Multiple entries visiting visa which is valid for at least 6 months. During the 6 months, if I take them to Canada for a trip of a week or so, would they be able to come back to the US with that visa? If there any "Bad" effect on their future application for tourist visa?
