Priceline stay or any stays booked thru 3rd party sites

will NOT earn you points, other than the normal purchase type, i.e. 1 buck for 1 pt type. It will not earn you the extra points when you pay for your hotel stay by the loyalty card.

You have to book thru hotel chains own website for "eligible" (usually published) rates in order to earn points as well as credit for your stay (for status purpose). Make sure you understand the rules otherwise you would waste a lot of point earning opps.
