非激素类消炎药(NSAIDs).---Acetylsalicylate (Aspirin), naproxen (Naprosyn), ibuprofen (Advil, Medipren, Motrin), and etodolac (Lodine) are examples of nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
激素类消炎药(Corticosteroid)---prednisone(Deltasone), triamcinolone (Kenacort), methylprednisolone (Medrol), prednisolone (Prelone) and dexamethasone (Decadron) are examples of Corticosteroid.
They are given orally or injected directly into tissues and joints. They are more potent than NSAIDs in reducing inflammation. Corticosteroids are useful for short periods during severe flares of disease activity or when the disease is not responding to NSAIDs. However, corticosteroids can have serious side effects, especially when given in high doses for long periods of time.
解除肌肉痉挛---Carisoprodol (Soma) and Diazepam (Valium) are examples of common used muscle relaxants. Sometimes doctors prescribe Gabapentin (Neurotin), Pregabalin (Lyrics), Duloxetine (Cymbalta) or even Alprazolam(Xanax) and Lorazepam(Ativan)---depends on the individual case.
Muscle relaxants are not really a class of drugs, but rather a group of different drugs that each has an overall sedative effect on the body. These drugs do not act directly on the muscles, rather they act centrally (in the brain) and are more of a total body relaxant.
