Before you get your H-1 status fixed, you cannot do anything about your spouse 's and kid's H-4 status. So, just go to the local USCIS Office to ask the IO to fix it in the system, then it should be OK.  Ask the IO whether you will have any trouble to return by using the current H-1B approval notice after they fix the error in the system.
