格言短诗三语版

老友刘慧儒同学，山西忻州人，复旦大学外文系77级德语本科毕业后考入北大西语系，后留学德国，获图宾根大学德语文学博士，现任教于特里尔大学汉学系。刘同学2020年出版德语格言与诗Im Sternbild des Kamels-Aphorsimen und Gedichte，Ostasien Verlag，共四百余首。从2021年4月收到出版社赠书起，我每天把其中的一首译成英文和中文发在16人的班群，参与讨论的同学有陈希宁、苏蒙、陈梅、吴建平、卫文珂，感谢他们的贡献。慧儒同学学识丰富，其格言诗角度殊异，意象奇特，引人思考，令人莞尔。获作者同意，我计划每周在博客上发出五首刘同学短诗德中英三语版。感谢垂注和批评。

1 “Kein Januskopf“

Oft unterscheidet sich                                                                                            der Kopf auf dem Steckbrief                                                                                        nicht von dem                                                                                                              auf den Scheinen                                                                                                       des ausgesetzten Kopfgeldes.

“Janus Head Does not Apply”                                                                                  Oftentimes the description                                                                                         of the head on a wanted criminal                                                                        does not differentiate from that                                                                                 on the bills of the bounty money.

“神盗同像”

通缉令描述的                                                                                                              罪犯面部特征                                                                                                              与赏金现钞上                                                                                                                的大头像                                                                                                                    常常难以区别。

（译注：有些国家现钞上的伟人头像，历史上可能曾印在通缉令上）

2 “Evolution“ 

Dass Waffen  

ins Museum kamen,

war ein Fortschritt—

nicht der Gesinnung

sondern der Waffen!

“Evolution”

That weapons

came into the museum，

was not the progress

of ideas

but of weapons！

 “进化”

武器

存入博物馆，

只是武器的

进步----

无关理念！

3 “Die Mücke“

Die Mücke im Konzertsaal

ist fest davon überzeugt,

das Orchester sei da,

sie zu begleiten.

“The Mosquito”

The mosquito in the concert hall

is firmly convinced,

that the orchestra were there,

to accompany it.   

“蚊子”

演奏厅里的

蚊子确信，

乐队是在，

为它伴奏。

4“Sauberkeit”

Was Sauberkeit bedeutet,

weiss am besten

die Kloake.

“Cleanliness”

What the cleanliness really means,

knows the cloaca 

the best.

“清洁”

清洁意味着什么，

最明白的

是下水道。

（译注：德文的Kloake可以译成“下水道”，也可译成“粪门”）

5 “Sündenbock”

Sündenbock,

warum nicht

Sündenwolf?

Wölfe fängt man

schwerer ein.

“Scapegoat”

Scapegoat,

why not

scape wolf?

 

Wolfs are

harder to catch.

“替罪羊”

替罪羊，

为什么不是

替罪狼？

 

因为后者

难以捉到。
