MALE & FEMALE STICK

Today when we attended Technical English Course, there was some misunderstanding during the lessons. David, our teacher wanted us to translate some terminoligies from Danish into English. There were two kinds of cable sticks, male and female sticks. David picked a stick and told us the one in his hand was a MALE stick, which was incorrect. He didn't find that he was actually wrong, only two students shouted that it was a FEMAL stick on his hand. And then he looked at the stick once again, and told the whole class that IT WAS A FEMALE STICK. Normally he rarely made this kind of mistake, but today he said to us: "Well, I guess you will not forget what is MALE and FEMALE stick, right?". Sure, David, after the mistake you have made, we will never forget MALE and FEMALE stick.160;
