You should come back within a week after you see your online message change to RFE since there will be one week for you or your attorney to receive actual RFE mail. There are total 30 days to respond the RFE and en route time is included in the 30 days. Generally speaking, you will only have 15 or so to respond. 2 or 3 weeks will not hurt much, but take your precaution on this matter.
