LC EB3 FILED, CAN CHANGE EB2?

My LC filed on 04/01/2004 in California, just get from attorney that the LC filed under EB3. Don't know why she did that since my case match the EB2 required. I saw the posted AD was required BS + 7 yrs experience and I be asked to provided all previous job working reference letter (totaly 8 yrs). Case still in SWA, is that possible to make an adjustment to EB2? If refile a new LC in EB2, do I need to do 6 month recuriter again? Or I should wait to apply PERM? (My company did recuriter on newspaper, internet and company internal job list.) If apply a new LC, can I reserve the previous PD?
