我的case以前跟您说过(详情可见我的以前的帖子, 我是不会删掉或改动的, 要留着给自己的一个教训), 简短说就是自己毕业后有过一阵很长的低迷期, 学术无长进, 精神不振作, 家庭不和睦, 还因家庭小矛盾导致我在美arrested by disorderly conduct, 但后来总算请了律师, 在从未出庭的情况下争取到我以为的最好的结果: I am not charged by any charge officially, 但我必须要参加一个Pre-Charging Deferred Prosecution Program (DPP). 为期一年, 我已于去年底成功完成, 当地检方对我很满意, 已经撤销任何对我的约束, 并dismiss my case. 经过这个风波后, 我也振作起来, 拿到工卡后立即在老婆所在的那所不错的大学找了份在我目前状态下相当满意的全职教书工作, 薪水也不错, 研究方向也换成我更喜欢的东西, 而且系里现在对我也算满意, 基本会明年续我的合约了.

 

我在递交I485时, 如实申明I had an arrest record but no charge at all. 今天发现我的绿卡申请终于有了动静: 先是换了别的office(上次已学过您), 今天又变成:

As of April 22, 2016, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number LIN***********, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice.

这是不是主要针对我的arrest record? 我们肯定是要好好准备一下, 不知需要注意哪些地方. 希望您能给点建议, 谢谢.

-No mattwer what, you need to prepare for explanation on your arrest case. So, bring all of the original documents (not photocopy) you got from the Police Department, District Attorney and Court, etc. You had better also bring the employment verifcation letter from your employer and your recent 3 or more months paycheck stubs to prove your employment status.
