-You need to complete the visa application process within one year from the date you received NVC letter to ask you to pay the fee. If no, your case will be terminated. Then, you have another year to appeal. If you don't appeal within one year from the date your case is terminated, then your case will be revoked (equal to that you have never filed I-140).
