EB1A PP后获得批准，一个月前递交的485，但是我和我老婆最近收到递交864 form的通知。我的情况是H1B签证，在国家实验室作博士后，我先递交140，然后我（H1B）和我老婆（H4）同时递交485.
864 form是给亲属移民或者结婚配偶移民的经济担保证明，我的收入远远高出贫困线，老婆（老婆在加拿大工作，但是为申请绿卡，持有H4签证）也远远多于贫困线。
我的疑问是：
1. 我们递交485时已经递交了employment letter 和4年的W2，为什么我们要递交这个经济担保证明864 form？是否是一种随机的抽查填写， 还是必须的？
-I-864 is not required for your case, especially you have provided the employment proof. But some IO may not understand the immigration law well (it is common). So, I would suggest you just to provide what the RFE asked (it is simple, isn't?), instead of arguing with them.
2. 如果必须递交，可不可以我们自己填写864 form，而且用历年的税收W2证明我们的经济能力？
-Yes, but only need to provide the copies of tax return and W-2 of 2013, or optional to provide the copies of tax return and W-2 of the latest 3 year (2011, 2012 and 2013). Also provide an employment verification letter from your current employer if you did not provide it yet when you filed I-485.
3. 或者必须找美国公民来给我们做经济担保？
-No.
