question: 2 YEAR EAD vs. I-485 process?

According to USCIS June news release: the USCIS will review your PD and RD (Processing Time) to decide one year or 2 years EAD. Started from June-Sep, my PD was U and I am avaiable again starting from Oct and very far from the PD cut off date (ROW 1/1/05 and my was 12/2002) and my RD is also one month out of the processing time (TSC 9/15 showed TSC - 6/23, and my RD was 5/23)

This month I just renewed my EAD and today received my card which is 2 years EAD. It is a bad sign or nothing to do with my I-485 process. Has someone has the same situation or can give me some ideas. Thanks.
