What are the offers China made to the US to convince Trump? Does China surrender to the US or is this a ploy to lure the Trump administration to the negotiation table?

I don’t think that China has surrendered anything to Trump. Bear in mind that it was Trump who called Xi, not the other way around. In response, Xi made a few small concessions.

Trump must be feeling the pressure of the Chinese counter-tariffs. That is why he called Xi.

Trump announced that any agreement between China and the US must include a willingness by China to resume buying soybean from the US at the old levels. Let us see if China is going to give him that. He might have to beg China for that. If he fails, then the US farmers will be after him.
