I used to consider myself a firm conservative, aligned with Freedom Caucus types. Perhaps that is still true regarding opposition to the establishment. However, their foolish dogmatism on this bill has done more to damage Trump and the GOP than anything else. Trump is the people's bulwark against the leftist agenda. By not compromising here, they have crippled that effort. Rome wasn't built in a day boys and girls and legislating is the art of compromise. You would think you would have learned that in grade school. I think the Freedom Caucus has just "principled" themselves into irrelevance and defeat. Look for Trump to seek to coalition with Pelosi and moderate Republicans for a governing majority and look for FC members to face primaries.
