"Mine and Li's film was a process of discovery. We went in with one idea of what we wanted to make, and ended up coming out with something completely different. Each night we had a plan, and each day we seemed to discover something that took us in a new direction. Our topic, traditional Chinese music, came from a random chance encounter with an Erhu player in the park, who ended up being the main subject of our film.
I think that was what was most exciting about this project - that no matter how much we planned, it was constantly changing and shifting in new directions right up until we screened the films. There were dozens of different ways we could have made this film, and dozens of films we probably could have made. Making this one feels less like a planned goal, and more like a combination of capturing what was happening around us and trying to put a story to it."

我和李的电影是一个不断发现的过程。当我们想要做一个想法时，最终出来的东西却完全不同。每个晚上，我们有一个计划，每一天，我们似乎发现的东西，把我们转到一个新的方向。我们的主题：中国传统音乐，来自在公园里不期而遇的二胡演奏家，最终成为我们的电影的主要拍摄对象。
我认为在这个项目这最令人兴奋的部分是： 不管我们多么计划，它是不断变化的，总把我们转到不同的方向，直到我们最终拍摄电影才成型。
有无数中不同的方式可以成为我们的电影，使得这一个影片感觉不像计划的目标，
而更像是捕捉发在我们身边生了什么事情，并试图把这些形成一个故事。
