Cruise questions

Plan to take a western carribean cruise. First time, so your exoerience, suggestions are very much appreciated:

1. My parents has B-2 Visa. Will that be a problem?
2. Between Carnival and Royal Carribean, which one is better?
3. I heard that I should avoid windy season. When will that be?
