file synchronization software

I have two computers and I work on one or another. I want to synchronize the files on the two computers. Because I will change only part of the files, it is good to do synchronization instead of deletion and copy. I have a PDA with software that can synchronize files with coputer. Does anyone know what kind of software can do this for two desktop or notebook computers?
