Tomtom 702 GPS 和 破解升级 Unlock 过程

我个人用过不少GPS，现时觉得tomtom go 720 性价比最高。
很容易自己升级到 tomtom go 940 的功能, 等于白赚了$300
, 帶voice command 和其他高一檔GPS才有的功能

你如果想偷懒，或者不懂怎么破解，tomtom自己的升级其实就很好了，升了以后就有
IQRoutes 和 Advanced Lane Guidance， （我觉得是tomtom 升级系统的一个 bug)，
navcore和地图都自动升到版本8 以上 ，不过可能需要和tomtom 客服发个email，证明
你刚买了这个GPS。 (我自己的经验，amazon 客服非常好）

tomtom 比 garmin 强的地方：

启动时寻星快，
屏幕更新快, garmin 的gps 小车图标经常滞后实际位置，在城里开车挺恶心的
用mapshare 可以自己改地图，更新地图方便，bug少

还有一个大家心知肚明：

hack 容易，以后自己更新新地图容易。

Tomtom地图的 Unlock 过程
实际上就是通过你的 Device ID 和 Map 的信息
然后计算出一个 License 文件 (.dct）。

（本例是针对 Mio C320的，在其他机器上应该也类似）

How to Generate TomTom Map Unlock File
Nam 4/18/2009

In general, TomTom Map unlock file is generated from your device info and
the map's info.
(your maps should be uncompressed to *ROOT* of your SD card. Like SD_Card\
usa_and_canada )

1, Edit DeviceID.txt , replace with your ID (Ten letters or numbers)

(ID can be found From SD_Card\ttnavigator.bif search DeviceUniqueID=
xxxxxyyyyy)

Sample like this: AB2ZLCVYPE

2, Edit Progs\Meta.txt

This meta data is assaciated with the map you want to use.

Sample like this:
; USA_and_Canada_825_2210
71 83 F7 AB C5 DE 8D 79 30 CB 06 29 7C 46 7B 78 USA_and_Canada-29.meta

3, Copy 2 files (associated with the map .pna and .meta) to folder insert_
meta_from_Map_here

sample like:
USA_and_Canada.pna
USA_and_Canada-29.meta (This name should match contents in file meta.txt)

4, Run RunMeforDCT.cmd, Select 1 , Select 1,
you get result in folder insert_meta_from_Map_here
It's a new .dct file. (Unlock file)

5, Copy this .dct file to map directory on your SD card.

Sample like this:
SD_Card\usa_and_canada_825_2210\USA_and_Canada-29.meta.dct

6, DONE
