here is a link i think can help you to find out how to set up HDD jumper.coz you didn't mentioned hot did you set the jumper.
some suggest:
A: master/slave/cable select
this is the basic jumper setings,very easy to do so.
B: master(single)/master(w/slave)/slave/cable select
becareful with this,if you like use two drive,you
have to choose master(w/slave)
c：if you using seagate HDD,there is only option you
have is 1st master,2nd cable select.or both of them
using cable select.
D: if you using IBM/HITACHI ,unlucky,very hard to
dealling with jumper setting,coz IBM has two totally
different setting rules,but you still can learn it
from the side lable,normally,we using the rules been
show on the top line.
