Layoffs are when an employer dismisses employees. That is, they are let go (laid off) from their jobs.

建议看一下你的书面通知是怎么说的，按规矩来，客户也能够理解。如果不按规矩留下后患，没了工作就别提客户了，和老板对着干等恢复正常后再考虑。如果没有书面通知，问人事部。
