You are very right. When I first started my job, The work enviro

Was so terrible that I thought I wouldn't stayed for long. The only thing that kept me going was my chief, who was not a strong man and a little undecisive in my eyes, but very understanding and supportive. Some coworkers are bullies and others liked to take advantage of me, since in their eyes, chinese are always weak and submissive. It took me almost two years to have established my work status, and learned how to fight back.  It even took a lot more work then to build a commending role in my team. After that, the work environment has completely changed and worked for me. 

nothing is easy for sure! To be honest, for my new job, I won't be surprised it would be a repeat, even thought in a smaller scale.
