同事叫我帮忙review他做的东西，我们的直接上司没有叫我这么做，我该怎么回避？

我的同事叫我帮忙给他把关，可是老板并不是这么说的，有可能要考验我那同事，那我怎么才能巧妙的避开？那个同事人还行，可是是我的竞争对手。.。。我的老板很喜欢他。
