职业生涯遭遇瓶颈...

现在35岁，觉得职业生涯有点尴尬。在小一点的公司，就是senior software engineer, 在大公司，就是SDE 2. 现在在西雅图，年薪+奖金差不多13万 。不知道下一步该向哪个方向努力。不喜欢当领导，讨厌开会，喜欢埋头做事。没有北美的文凭，所以想要做大公司的researcher基本上是不可能的。 目前想到的方向：

1) 争取成为software architect，从本质上提高薪水，估计以后可以拿到２０万＋？
2) 多跳几家公司，争取以后做consultant, 拿 $120+/hr ?

请问我估计的这两个工资数目准确吗？哪个更加容易？更有前途？ 从来没有做过architect，觉得那些人好像很牛的，不知道自己能不能达到那个水准，也不知道要学哪些东西才可以。

如果搬去湾区，工资应该会有大幅度上升，可是多了10%的州税，以及生活成本提高，基本上也就抵消了工资的涨幅。。。
