我的理解:you have 30 days of paid vacation

"In either event, the employee, if requested by the employer, shall continue to render her services, and shall be paid her regular compensation up to the date of termination. " 

if the employer does not request the employee to continue render her services, she does not need to (in most cases, she can't since the employer does not want you to touch their system).
