急死人！吃了reckless driving ticket(New Jersey), 正值换工作，背景调查咋办？

在网上搜了很久，据说New Jersey reckless driving ticket不是misdemeaner (criminal offsense), 而是traffic violation，并且有望请律师减轻。

这个背景调查表上说：

 

1. Have you within the past 10 years been convicted of any felony or misdemeanor? Misdemeanors may include, but are not limited to, violations of city ordinances and traffic violations (with the exception of speeding offenses less than 20MPH over the posted limit and non-repetitive parking violations)。

 

2. Are you presently the subject of any proceedings in which an adverse decision would result in the above question being answered "Yes"?

 

我的ticket是reckless driving(NJ, speeding over 20 MPH limit)。

我的理解是上面的问题是focus on felony和misdemeaner，因此即使我的ticket是over 20 MPH limit, 只要在NJ不属于misdemeaner, 我就不需要报告给雇主。
