What are the sizes of the companies?

Agree with the other posts. If company A is sizable, you can talk to them asking whether they can extend your decision deadline. If they say yes, they most likely will honor it. If company B is big, your chance of getting an offer much in advance of their timeline is not too good - larger companies stick to their bureaucracy more firmly.
