This is not typical, but not necessarily bad.
They spend 2 days to try you out. You spend 2 days to try them out. After the 2 days, they decide whether to give you an offer, and you decide whether to accept it.
If they pay for the 2 days, you also make some money. Strictly speaking, they should not ask you to work without paying you. But even if they don't pay you, you can just treat it as a 2-day interview.
Since this is a trial, you probably do not want to quit your current job to try out this opportunity.
