Position Summary:

Jr.-Mid Level Software Support Analyst (Herndon, VA)

Salary: $55-70K

Note: Any exposure to working in an Agile or Scrum environment would be a BIG PLUS!!!

Provide level 2 technical support and troubleshooting for problems with software related issues for internal and external customers; “ensuring issues are resolved in a timely fashion”; escalating urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resources. The incumbent will work with Application Development staff to validate and certify changes to Clients applications and serve as technical support for different development projects. This position will also perform software defect coding, testing and upgrade procedures, and recreate and analyze software problems to contribute to future engineering and development. “Ideal candidate must be able deal with a fast pass environment, with solid VB scripting skills.”


Duties and Responsibilities:
8226; Perform diagnostics of problems, troubleshoot and develop technical solutions for customer problems related to software and setup errors.
8226; Trouble-shoot medium-level complexity of code related production support issues. Make simple code defect fixes as necessary.

Our Software Product Development Team is recruiting an experienced Senior SQL Server DBA with patent (Intellectual Property) data knowledge to help us grow our product. This team operates in a high-energy, fast paced and collaborative environment that focuses on technology and quality to drive business objectives. This individual will work closely with development, Sr. Data Q/A Analyst and Sr. Database Administrator to maintain large database systems in both production and development environments.

Responsibilities:

* Perform routine database backups, restores, cleanup and general database maintenance in a large, highly complex, software development environment.
* Review designs and SQL code from fellow developers to ensure adherence to established coding principles and standards.
* Provide software build support and ongoing assistance with build activities to ensure timely delivery of testing and production software builds in a highly dynamic software development lifecycle process.
* Design and develop advanced database solutions, including T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, functions and schemas to enable and support Development objectives.
