Reporting to the Director of Strategy, Environment and Communications, the Project Coordinator will provide turnkey project management and subject matter expertise to successfully implement the Newcomers Web Portal Project by collaborating with other city staff, KEDCO, and with community partners to develop and implement a new web portal that promotes Kingston as a destination of choice for newcomers and provides a comprehensive and accessible single point of access for all types of information pertinent to the immigration experience. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing the project work plan including work breakdown structures, progress charts, resource allocations, schedule and budget controls, procurement of contractors, identification, consultation and collaboration with community partners and project stakeholders, commissioning and editing of all web portal content, risk/issues management and communication strategies, supervision of supporting staff, acting as spokesperson and central point of contact for the project, identification, analysis and resolution of all project issues and preparation and circulation of project reports including project status reports and project completion reports.
