How to deal with co-worker who love to talk about private

business at work?

Some of my co-workers love to talk about their private business at work. Things like what car they bought? What stock they invested?How much they make or loose on investment ?Even like how did their parents get divorce?

I am very frastrated about the situation. I don't like to talk about personal issue at work and don't really want to know about my co-worker's personal life. However, I realize it makes me difficult to blend in with the group because the others like to talk with each other about their personal issues. And they like to know things about me. I don't reallt like to answer but that seems make them feel distance from me.

I thought American are not gossipy!

Need help.
