We traveled to Rio, Salvador, Buzio and Iguazu with our 20 month old three years ago. It was absolutely a fun trip. People in Brazil are extremetly friendly, especially towards our son. People would stop in front of him and give him a kiss or candy or play with him - maybe they do not see a lot of Asia babies around. The food was great - a lot of varieties. We ate quite some food from street/beach vendors and none of us got sick. Brazil was definitely cleaner than China - at least based on China's in 2003.
