Having inherited a huge fortune from her father, Ms. Florence Foster Jenkins, featured in the film by Meryl Streep, leads a luxurious life in the city of New York while pursuing her dream of public musical performance, singing, to be more specific. A talented pianist who once performed at the White House in her youth, Florence devoutly believes that her talent in piano may be transformed into her singing successfully, a belief could not have proved more unmerited. Yet, financially backed by her wealth and spiritually supported from people closely around her, including her husband St. Clair Bayfield (by Hugh Grant) and her pianist Cosme McMoon (by Simon Helberg ), Florence manages to sing herself all the way to Carnage Hall, one of the most prestigious venues in the world for classical music at the time, to fulfill the dream she wholeheartedly lives long for, and bitter-sweetly dies shortly after.
