另类高利息Checking Account

我的出租房都是物业管理公司管理的，每个月近15号才能收到租金的direct deposit。而每月自动设置的贷款付款都是在这之前。也就是说每个月我是先付贷款，然后才能收到租金，这样银行账号里不得不保持不少的现金，为下个月的付贷款做准备。而银行账号里的现金基本是没利息的，对此我一直感到十分不爽。

一两年前曾经尝试想看看能不能找到有足够利息的checking account，结果无功而返，那些给利息的checking account，给的利息也都低得让人恶心。

前些日子在一个论坛上发现有人推荐WealthFront的 Individual Cash Account，觉得不错，就申请了一个。

首先，WealthFront的Individual Cash Account 并不是真正的银行checking account，而是 brokerage account with checking account feature。

这是它的一些优点：

• 无费用
• No minimum balance requirement
• 目前利息5%，利率随Fed Fund Rate浮动(目前Fed Fund Rate 是5.25~5.5%)，可随时存取，利息按天算，利息月底结算到账
• 有8米的FDIC保险，一般银行是25万，它实际是分散到多个银行
• 可以direct deposit
• 可以ACH 付款和echeck付款
• 有ATM和Debt Card
• 可以Deposit Check

它的一些缺点：

• Online only , 无法存现金
• 不允许write personal check，尽管可以用echeck
• direct deposit的account name必须要跟WealthFront 的account name匹配。比如单独配偶名字的direct deposit是不接受的。
• ACH debt 的account name可能也必须要匹配（这点不太确定？？？）。
• 无法国际Wire，国内Wire也只能自己给自己，这样Wire相当于没用，谁会吃饱饭撑得自己Wire给自己？！
• ACH每天有限额，每天进最多25万，出最多5万，这个有点混蛋。

如果主要用ACH， 或者想存流动资金，顺便赚点利息，还是不错。

我发现，Individual Cash Account跟大的银行链接和转账比较容易，跟有些其它的brokerage account链接有点麻烦。

WealthFront有Joint Cash Account，但Joint Cash Account没有 checking Account的功能，他们说今年会加上。

WealthFront的主要Business是Investment Account，这个Cash Account是独立的账号。

看到楼下有网友询问，刚好几天前我申请了一个，尝试了一段时间感觉不错，我自己主要是用Direct Deposit和用ACH自动付房贷和其他费用，这里分享一下。
