私立大学的问题：私立学生录取靠包装，非天赋（4）

我现在是斯坦福大学的大三学生。作为一名来自低收入家庭的奖学金生，我基本上是校园里的外星人。

我遇到的几乎每个人都告诉我，他们的父母从高中一年级开始就聘请了导师来帮助他们制定进入斯坦福大学的生活，让写作专业人士查看他们的论文，SAT/ACT学术教练等。令我惊讶的是，这些学生获得了多少机会，而作为一个低收入学生，我们必须付出 50 倍的努力才能完成同样的任务。

I am a current junior at Stanford University. Being a scholarship student coming from a low-income household, I am basically an alien on campus.

Almost everyone I’ve met told me their parents hired tutors starting their freshman year of HS to help them formulate their lives to get into Stanford, had writing professionals look over their essays, SAT/ACT academic coaches, etc. It amazed me how many opportunities were just handed to these students, and as a low income student, how we would have to work 50x harder to achieve the same task.
