First of all, filing for bankruptcy does not mean you don't have to pay anything. The court may not agree to wipe out all your debt based on your income. Secondly, having a bankruptcy record at the bureau will not only severely impact your chances of getting loans in the future, but also impact other areas such as getting a job in certain industries or renting an apartment.
