2008-2012 Accords are disappointing since I was trying to get a last year (2012) special edition or EX.  SE has 177 HP and EX has 190 but both at very high rpms.  Torques are 161 and 162.  EX feels more powerful but not faster at all (0-60 at around 9 sec).  I also test drove 2012 Camry SE.  Now compare 2012 Camry SE and Accord SE or EX, Camry drives quieter, smoother, more poerful (178 HP at lower rpm and more torque at lower rpm with 0-60 around 8 sec).  We long believe Accord is more sportier with firmer suspension but this generation is disappointing.  I drove 2003-2007 Accords and they were sportier.  I believe Accords are Camries are much closer in sportness and Camry SE closed gap.  Accords sacrificed sportness but still noising and not as comfort.  Camry SE is sportier but still keeps comfortness and quietness.  Also Camry SE has a toutch screen with paddle transmission shift with 6-speed auto transmission.  Accord has 5-speed auto transmission.  2012 Accords dash boards without toutch screen and too many clutted bottons look like last centrury design comparing Camries.  I am now waiting for the 2013 Accords since I was a little bored by Camries after owning more than one.  2013 Accords will have more HP, better gas mileage and hopefully more sportier that the outgoing Accords.  But a couple of concerns on reliability on CVT transmission and direct feul injection.  We will see if Accords are sportier than the outgoing Accords.  If not, I am not going to consider it.  Good thing about Accord is that it starts new generation a year later than Camry so it has a chance to matchs and surpasses Camry's specs.
