You can do either:

1. If you are a pretty safe driver and your insurance has forgiveness every few years (meaning they will not use it against you) for chargeable accident greater than $750 at your fault, then go ahead and file the claim, your insurance will pay the other car's damage.  It would be even better if the damage is less than $750 since your insurance will not raise your primium at all.  Even insurance company raises the primium, it would be minimal and is car specific meaning it will only raise the primium for the car involved in the accident if you have more thn one car.  Note: deductable doe not apply here so it's not a factor: see http://bbs.wenxuecity.com/auto/322586.html.  Usually a rear bump replacement can be done under $750.

2. I you do not meet the above criteria, you can always pay out of your pocket and do not let insurance know.  Make sure to ask the one who received payment sign an agreement so they will not go after you later.

Most Chinese are careful and safe drivers so I would recommend option #1.

3.
